Kirstine Reiner Hansen is a Danish artist based in Berlin, Germany with strong ties to the Bay Area. Born in Odense, Denmark, she received a BA in Design and Illustration at Kolding School of Design. She spent 15 years in the US, where her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries including Jack Chiles Gallery (NYC), Dolby Chadwick (San Francisco) and Craig Krull Gallery (Santa Monica). She is represented by Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco. In 2012 she received the Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant and was twice a semi-finalist for the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. Her work has been featured in Juxtapoz Magazine, Beautiful/Decay Magazine, Beautiful Surface.com and recently in BloPop Magazine Vol.3, as well as being featured in the publication ‘Distrupted Realism’ by John Seed.
