Disrupted Realism is the first book to survey the works of contemporary painters who are challenging and reshaping the tradition of Realism. Kirstine Reiner Hansen’s work is featured, alongside a lineup of artists such as Alex Kanevsky, Paul Cristina, Ann Gale, Anne Harris, Karen Kaapcke, Catherine Kehoe, Jean-Paul Mallozzi, Alyssa Monks, Age Opdenbrouw.

John Seed is a painter, writer, and independent curator who contributed over 350 blogs to the HuffingtonPost Arts and Culture page between 2010 and 2017. Known for his direct and engaging style, Seed became an important voice in the evolving conversation about contemporary representational painting. Seed has also blogged for Hyperallergic.com, contributed articles to print magazines including Art Ltd., Arts of Asia, Catamaran, and Harvard Magazine, and appeared in the Google Arts and Culture video series Name That Art.
